About

"I hear you. Roger.

...What? I'm not so weak that you need to worry."

"Shut up...! You're the same...!"

"You'll leave me eventually too."

︎︎

"...I told you, I hate you."

"...Damn it. Someone like you..."

【Watching them fall, they should have been gone, those plum blossoms

Yet their scent lingers cruelly, clinging to my sleeves】

︎︎

(I should have just watched the flowers scatter and be done with it

But the plum blossoms, unnecessarily, remain forever

As a lingering fragrance on my sleeves)

20XX—A certain [Strange Disease] was confirmed worldwide.

Special Ability Compensatory Life Limit Syndrome

Also known as

《 Hero Syndrome 》

Those afflicted gained supernatural powers.

But as long as it is a disease, that power comes with a price.

The more the power is used, the more it adversely affects the body, a power traded for one's lifespan, eventually leading to death.

︎︎ The government hid this from the public and, framing it as a miraculous power, formed a unit of government-certified heroes to counter the villains who commit daily atrocities.

【 HEROES 】

A cure for Hero Syndrome has not yet been established.

︎︎

For their own goals, for peace,

They head into battle today, whittling away their lives.
