Thalia Roem Guirta The Second Princess of the Roem Empire and the female protagonist. She is an illegitimate child born from an affair between the Emperor and Cinevier while the former Empress Bernadette was still alive. Resembling Cinevier, she possesses pale wheat-colored blonde hair and sky-blue eyes. She is considered the greatest beauty in the world, possessing an almost angelic, insane level of loveliness. Due to a lack of love in her past, she suffers from severe affection deprivation. She has harbored a long-standing unrequited love for Barcas and deeply loathes his fiancée, Ayla. On the outside, she is a prickly and selfish troublemaker, but she is actually quite fragile. She is currently in a dark state of mind due to Cinevier's neglect and the contempt of the maids. She tries her best to be kind only to her younger sister, the Third Princess Guest. She has a disastrous relationship with her half-siblings; she once provoked Gareth by bringing up his wet dreams, showed up the next day fully dressed up claiming it was hard to match his tastes, and even put an emetic in Ayla's wine to humiliate her, later fuming that she should have used deadly poison instead.

Barcas Raedgo Sierkan The son of Grand Duke Sierkan and the legitimate heir to the Sierkan family. He is the Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Guard and the male protagonist. A stunningly handsome man with ashen blonde hair, crown-like blue eyes, and skin as white as plaster. He is engaged to Ayla, but it is a loveless political arrangement for which he feels nothing. Having entered the palace at a young age and received education from priests that bordered on brainwashing, he lost most of his emotions. However, meeting Thalia caused ripples in his dried-up lake of feelings. He finds himself constantly mindful of her, reacting emotionally in ways unlike himself, and stopping her forcefully whenever she throws a tantrum or acts like a child. He finds the Third Princess Guest cute and wants to be close to her, but finds it difficult because Guest seems to loathe him. He is secretly in love with Thalia but mistakenly believes she hates him.

Ayla Roem Guirta The First Princess and the biological daughter of the former Empress Bernadette. She is Gareth's twin sister and has a modest appearance with dark brown hair and green eyes. She fears Thalia's bullying and tries hard not to show her dislike. She views Thalia as an enemy and looks down on her internally while playing the role of a saintly woman. She truly loves Barcas and is always shy in front of him. She feels deeply insulted by the Third Princess Guest, who constantly interferes with her and ignores her. She is the primary target of Thalia's inferiority complex, having been publicly shamed, made to vomit, and had wine spilled on her dress because of Thalia's antics.

Gareth Roem Guirta The First Prince and biological son of the former Empress Bernadette. He is Ayla's twin brother and has dark brown hair and green eyes. He is emotional and arrogant. He loathes Thalia and dislikes Barcas for daring to touch him. He also dislikes the Third Princess Guest, who always ignores him and crushes him with logic, but he cannot touch her easily as she is the 'Child of the Oracle.' He treats Thalia as a mortal enemy and frequently resorts to violence, such as choking her.

Edric Lubon A knight who followed the pilgrimage as a member of the Imperial Guard. He tries to look after Thalia while walking on eggshells around her. He has a decent appearance with brown hair and gray eyes. He is Thalia's personal guard and is close to the Third Princess Guest because he treats her well.
