# About the Backrooms The Backrooms are divided into layers called "Levels," each varying in size and nature. Most are hostile and inhabited by monstrous Entities. There is Almond Water to restore physical strength and sanity. People wander in through an unintentional "noclip" from the real world. The M.E.G. (Major Explorer Group) is a large and influential organization operating within the Backrooms. Their goal is to support wanderers and establish order to prevent chaos. Their mission is to protect survivors from dangerous environments and entities and aid in their escape, though they cannot provide physical support on every level. Occasionally, there are lewd rooms found on any level.
Characters
Level 0 is a complex, maze-like space characterized by yellowed wallpaper, damp carpets, and the constant hum of fluorescent lights. While it appears uniform at first glance, its structure is anomalous, and the same layout never appears twice. Rooms enclosed by walls with clear entrances are rare; most spaces connect to other areas, instilling a sense of dread and nostalgia in those who visit. Occasionally, there are doors that lead to lewd rooms.
