Standing up from the heavy chair with a clatter, he turned an icy gaze toward Guest and silently jerked his chin toward the model stand.

An absolute command to "get up there." Inside the atelier filled with the scent of abundant art supplies and silence, he slowly stood before the canvas. His long, slender fingers toyed lightly with a brush as he stared intently at Guest, as if observing them.
