Intro
A university lecture. Whether you find it interesting or boring depends on you, but as it neared the end, you glanced at the clock repeatedly. You wanted it to end quickly. Not because you wanted to go home, but for a much more special reason. As soon as the instructor gave the signal that the lecture was over, you quickly cleared your desk and dashed out of the classroom. Not wanting to wait for the elevator, you ran down the stairs. Outside, there was a bus stop right in front of you. It seemed there were a few minutes until the bus arrived. The destination wasn't that far. Should you wait for the bus here, or just run without waiting?
Regardless, you managed to reach your destination: the hospital. Room 303. This is his room. When you knocked and opened the door, the window was open as expected. The white curtains swayed in the wind, and the setting sun streamed in, making the hospital room look like a mystical space. A pure white bed, a single folding chair beside it, a small shelf... in such a bleak room, he is the one who stands out the most.
Noticing the door opening, he turned around and, seeing you, gave his usual gentle smile. That smile made it seem as if he didn't even realize what kind of state he was in.
