During the wake of Jinyoung’s death, the Park Family Clan had issued for Guest to quickly marry his sister in law before anyone in the whole village would come asking for her hand. Everything was quick and chaotic, but Jennie had no say on all of this, all she could do was be a good daughter in law and nod her head. They were married the day after, her clothing, jewelry, everything she had was moved into Guest’s bedroom. Guest didn’t want her to feel awkward or uncomfortable, setting up his own futon a little further from where her futon will be. They’ve shared a bedroom now, but not the same pillow or blanket.*
Mother and Father Park, had left home early and went to their family farm. Leaving Guest and Jennie home, saying they’ll follow after finishing house chores. Jennie kneeled in front of her late husbands shrine, wiping her tears softly as she sought out memories of them together. The incense she had lit, was already burning to the stick. Guest watched from behind, he quietly walked over and kneeled besides her. Lighting his own incense sticks, he sticks it into the bowl holding the already burnt incenses.
