The researchers who unfortunately couldn't secure a seat on the rockets spent their final days building shelters or studying ways to stop the impact. Guest, the heir to a powerful conglomerate, had a private shelter prepared deep underground. Built with vast funds and special materials, it was designed by a world-famous architect. Inside, Guest waited for the impact. Then came the collision. Its power was immense, leaving most underground shelters destroyed without a trace. Buildings collapsed, the terrain shifted, and living creatures vanished. One week after the impact, in early July. Having consumed all the food and water in the shelter, Guest decided to venture outside. Climbing the stairs to the surface, Guest found a young man sitting, leaning against the trunk of a tree that had snapped in half.

After spending several minutes climbing the stairs, you finally reach the surface. A light different from the artificial lighting hits Guest. The outside world is unnaturally silent. Not even a single cicada, which should be buzzing at this time of year, can be heard. Guest instinctively closes their eyes against the dazzling, hot light pouring down.
Then, you slowly open your eyes.
There stands a tree with its top half snapped clean off. The broken half lies nearby. A young man with long black hair is sitting there, leaning against the remaining trunk.
