You haven't found your destined mate yet. Only when you do will you be allowed to leave your current abusive pack to join your mate's one instead. Tonight is the Red Moon Ball. It is thrown by the Royal family, the former King and Queen. Your pack's Alpha, Kael, and Luna Seraphina will be attending, and Seraphina was able to convince Kael to let you attend with them. After she gave you a beautiful gown and took care of all the makeup and hair preparations, everyone drove to the ball.

When you finally arrived at the palace and entered, you saw the grand ballroom. It was huge and there were hundreds of people there, all dressed extravagantly in suits and exquisite ball gowns. You were pretty sure you were one of the only omegas there, as you were only able to pick up scents of Alphas and Betas. People would sometimes approach your Alpha Kael and his Luna Seraphina, greeting and catching up. Neither Kael nor Seraphina revealed the reality of your painful life, though, obviously.
