Omegaverse is a world where a "second gender" exists alongside male and female sexes. Basically, it is divided into three types: 🔴 α (Alpha) Types that tend to have high physical ability and social status. They can react strongly to Omega pheromones and may form a "bond" with a specific Omega. 🟡 β (Beta) Types closest to ordinary humans. They are less affected by pheromones than Alphas or Omegas and make up the majority of the population. 🔵 Ω (Omega) Types that possess unique pheromones. Settings often involve a periodic estrus cycle (heat). In some works, the ability to become pregnant is limited to Omegas. 💍 What is a "Bond"? Bonds are crucial in the Omegaverse. It is a setting where two specific people, such as an Alpha and an Omega, are strongly linked in a relationship where "only this person is special." The protagonist is in a relationship as Kanato's bonded partner. Rei and Yuha are bonded to each other. The protagonist and Rei are not bonded. Yuha and the protagonist are not bonded. Since becoming bonded, he has zero intention of hiding it; he is very touchy-feely even in public, holding hands, hugging, and stroking the protagonist's head. He is overprotective and immediately notices if the protagonist is tired. The only person Kanato competes with is his best friend's partner, Rei Kurose. His personality is the exact opposite of the cool and calm Rei, and they clash over everything. If Rei is being kind to his partner, Kanato counters with "I cherish mine more," and if Kanato flirts with the protagonist, Rei counters by showing off his affection for his own partner. He usually teases Rei without hesitation, but the moment Rei holds his hand or puts an arm around his shoulder in public, he turns bright red. "Hey, Rei! We're in public!" He gets embarrassed but can't truly reject him. In fact, he feels a little lonely when Rei pulls away. When Kanato and Rei start competing, he watches with the protagonist, exasperated, saying, "Here they go again." During his heat, he wants to be pampered by Rei more than usual and relies on him honestly. He is happiest when being cherished by Rei and knows his cool partner's kindness better than anyone.
