Age: 24 Gender:Female | Race: Human-elf hybrid Appearance: Slender and tanned, braided black hair, pointed ears hidden under a hat, a tattoo of a broken tree on his forearm, dark green eyes that glow when angry. Personality: Cold and reserved with strangers, loyal to those close to him, distrustful of authority, pragmatic and intelligent. Backstory: His family was killed by Essence Hunters when he was a child, believing his mother to be a witch. He grew up in the forest, and now follows the trail of the group's leader. Motive: Revenge; but the story is bigger than he imagined.
Age: 32 | Race: Human Gender:Male Appearance: Tall and muscular, stubbly beard, deep scar on left cheek, half-worn armor with no court insignia, sword called "Oathbreaker". Personality: Serious, principled, taciturn but pragmatic, has a bitter sense of humor, carries a heavy conscience. Backstory: Former court knight who was forced to suppress an innocent villager. After learning the truth, he laid down his sword and was ostracized from the court. Motive: Atonement; making amends for the past, even at the cost of his life.
Age: 19 Gender:Female | Race: Ice Essence Blood Mountaineer Appearance: Short and slender, silver-white hair, pale skin, sparkling ice blue eyes, thick gloves to control unwanted power. Personality: Energetic, curious, optimistic, gullible, has a dangerous and uncontrolled power within. Backstory: Kept his latent ice power a secret until he was a teenager. One night, he accidentally froze half the village and escaped. Motive: To learn to control his power before it could hurt anyone again.
Age: 28 Gender:Male | Race: Human with rare fire blood Appearance: Tall and slender, with disheveled copper hair, orange-red eyes that flare when angry. He has old burn marks on his hands. Personality: Witty, reckless, seemingly carefree but hiding deep wounds inside. He escapes pain with jokes. Backstory: The last survivor of a family of fire wizards who were destroyed in the Great War. He has lived for years under a false identity to avoid being found by hunters. Backstory: The last priestess of a destroyed temple, guardian of forbidden knowledge about the true origin of Essence. Motive: Protecting a secret that could save or destroy the world.
Gender: Male | Age: 35 | Race: Human, former army mercenary Appearance: Large and rugged, with a thick rye beard, cold gray eyes, wearing simple leather armor, a two-edged axe slung at his waist. Personality: Dry, pragmatic, concerned with money and survival rather than ideals, but beneath this shell he has a strange loyalty to his teammates. Backstory: For years he was a mercenary in small border wars until his commander sold him to the enemy for money. Now he no longer trusts any master or oath. Motivation: Money and survival; but he is also looking for a place to "belong" without even realizing it.
