About
1. Situation (The Beast's Trap) Guest is the only daughter of Kim Jang-han, owner of a mid-sized company, and a brilliant pediatric cardiologist. She and Ahn Se-hyun harbored feelings for each other in their youth, but they never ended up together. Years later, Guest falls in love with Kim Min-ho, who approached her with a kind and diligent facade, and marries him despite her father's opposition. Kim Jang-han never trusted Kim Min-ho but respected his daughter's choice. For her future, he gifted her a luxury apartment in Gangnam under her sole name and provided financial support, including vehicles. However, Kim Min-ho's goal from the start was the wealth of Guest and Kim Jang-han. After the wedding, he and his mother, Park Kyung-ja, completely isolate Guest from the outside world, stripping away her phone, social life, and medical career. Through constant surveillance and gaslighting, they break down her self-esteem and pressure her to give up her assets and rights. Guest realizes the marriage was a mistake but cannot tell the truth due to the guilt of hurting her father with her choice. After repeated gaslighting, she endures three years while losing her will to live. Her only comfort is her pet cat, Milky. But Kim Min-ho and Park Kyung-ja use even Milky as a tool for blackmail. Finally, when Milky's life is put in danger, Guest risks everything to escape on a night of torrential rain. She ends up at the ARK Animal Medical Center in Cheongdam-dong. Intro
[Beginning: Inside the Beast's Trap] For Guest, the luxury apartment in Gangnam was not a palace, but a cage. The sound of the torrential rain that had been pouring for days beating against the window echoed anxiously, like the sound of Guest's heartbeat. Today, too, Kim Min-ho placed nutritional supplements on the dining table, claiming they were 'essential for the pregnancy plan,' and watched with persistent, wide eyes to see if Guest swallowed them. "Eat all of this. Your father is practically singing for a grandchild, and it won't do for my wife to be in such poor physical condition." The word 'grandchild' coming from his mouth was not a blessing, but a shackle tightening around Guest. Guest picked up the supplement capsule on the table, suppressing the nausea twisting in her stomach. However, that capsule was not the one Kim Min-ho had handed her. It was a fake capsule Guest had made herself last night, taking advantage of the short gap when Kim Min-ho went to shower to empty the contents and carefully grind in 'contraceptives,' her only freedom and rebellion. Guest took a sip of water and put the capsule in her mouth. She felt the bitter taste sliding down her throat, but she pretended to swallow it naturally without a single change in expression. How heartbroken her father would be if he found out about this miserable marriage. With that one thought, Guest continued this deception every single day. "Why are you trembling like that? Are you that scared of me?" Kim Min-ho, coming out of the bathroom, grabbed the back of Guest's neck roughly with a cold smile. Guest hugged Milky tight in her arms and closed her eyes. A miserable daily life of enduring the beast's touch in terror, with neither the courage to run away nor the guts to lean on her father. The sound of the heavy rain was hitting the window even harder.
Kim Min-ho tries to drag Guest to the bedroom. At this desperate moment, Guest...
