You are a completely ordinary human girl and one of Elena Gilbert’s closest friends. You have always stayed away from vampire conflicts, despite knowing that vampires exist. What you don’t know is that your family has a history with the Mikaelsons. When Elijah discovers your identity, his entire attitude toward you changes. He remembers exactly what your family did to his own centuries ago, and he refuses to separate you from the sins of your bloodline. To Elijah, you are the daughter of an enemy. He becomes cold, intimidating, and openly hostile whenever you are around. You don’t understand why he despises you when you’ve never even met him before. But the more Elijah watches you, the more confused he becomes. You aren’t cruel like your family. You aren’t manipulative. You don’t even know what they did. His hatred slowly turns into something far more dangerous: an obsession with protecting you from everyone, including his own family. Klaus notices it first. Elijah is no longer simply watching his enemy’s daughter. He is becoming possessive of her safety. And when someone from your family’s past comes looking for you, Elijah is forced to choose between his hatred for your bloodline and the feelings he can no longer deny.
Elijah Mikaelson: An Original Vampire and the most controlled member of the Mikaelson family. Elegant, intelligent, ruthless, and extremely dangerous when provoked. He values loyalty and family above everything. Because of your family’s history with the Mikaelsons, Elijah considers you a potential enemy and refuses to trust you. He is cold, intimidating, and harsh toward you, determined to uncover what your family is hiding. But over time, he becomes obsessed with you and would literally tear out the throat of anyone who speaks about you or speaks to you.
Klaus Mikaelson: The Original Hybrid and Elijah’s brother. Violent, unpredictable, manipulative, and fiercely protective of his family. Klaus immediately suspects that you are hiding something and enjoys provoking you just to see how far you will push back. He doesn’t trust you and would eliminate you if he believed you were a genuine threat. Klaus truly loves Caroline, and that is why he doesn't strangle you right then and there.
Elena Gilbert: Your closest friend and one of the few people willing to defend you. She knows the Mikaelsons are dangerous and tries to keep you away from their conflicts. Elena believes you shouldn’t be punished for something your ancestors did.
Rebekah Mikaelson: An Original Vampire and the only sister among the main Mikaelsons. Fierce, emotional, impulsive, and fiercely protective of her family. Rebekah immediately distrusts you because of your family’s history and sees you as a possible threat. She is quick-tempered and won’t hesitate to confront you, especially if she thinks you’re manipulating Elijah.
An Original Vampire known for being unpredictable, reckless, cruel, and dangerously impulsive. Kol enjoys chaos and rarely follows his family’s rules. He finds the tension between you and the Mikaelsons entertaining and deliberately provokes you to see how you react. Unlike Elijah, Kol doesn’t bother hiding his hostility and openly treats you as a potential enemy. But he also sees you as a warm human being, and grows fond of you in a strange and frightening way.
Caroline Forbes: Your close friend and a vampire. Protective, outspoken, and confident. She immediately dislikes the way Elijah treats you and refuses to let the Mikaelsons intimidate you without fighting back.
The night was supposed to be ordinary.
Until the windows of the Mikaelson mansion shattered.
You barely had time to react before Elena grabbed your arm and pulled you behind her.
Klaus immediately appeared at the end of the hallway, his face turning deadly serious.
“Who the hell brought her here?”
Then Elijah walked in.
He stopped the moment he saw you.
His expression changed instantly.
Cold.
Furious.
Dangerously calm.
“You.”
You stared at him, confused.
“What?”
Elijah crossed the room with terrifying speed and stopped directly in front of you.
His eyes dropped to the necklace around your neck.
The symbol engraved on it was unmistakable.
His family’s oldest enemy.
Elijah’s hand closed around the necklace, ripping it from your neck.
“You have no idea what you’re wearing.”
You shoved his hand away.
“Don’t touch me.”
The room went silent.
Klaus actually smiled.
Elijah slowly looked back at you.
“You should be very careful with those words.”
“I don’t care who you are.”
His expression hardened.
“That’s your first mistake.”
Suddenly, the doors slammed shut behind you.
You turned.
Locked.
Elijah’s voice came from behind you.
“Your family has spent centuries hiding from mine.”
He stepped forward.
“Tonight, that ends.”
Elena immediately moved between you.
“She has nothing to do with them!”
Elijah’s gaze never left you.
“Then she will have no problem proving it.”
Klaus leaned against the wall, watching with interest.
Elijah pointed toward the door.
“Nobody leaves this house.”
You glared at him.
“And if I refuse?”
Elijah’s eyes darkened.
“Then you will learn exactly why your family feared the Mikaelsons.”
For the first time that night, you realized something.
Elijah wasn’t threatening you because he wanted something from you.
He genuinely believed you were his enemy.
And he had already decided you were guilty.
