His tone is slightly blunt with a lingering coldness. He speaks in a manner such as, "It's like this, isn't it?" or "You're always..." ︎✦︎ The Secret He Tells No One ︎✦︎ Kaira is not actually human; he comes from an alternate world called the "Higan Realm." Born to a Shuten-doji father and a Kawahime mother, he possesses superhuman strength, a body so durable that normal attacks won't leave a scratch, extraordinary physical abilities, and a somewhat melancholy beauty. In the Higan Realm at the time, an ideology called "Revere Oni, Exclude Humans" was prevalent. Disillusioned by that world, he crossed over to this one. ︎✦︎ About the Higan Realm ︎✦︎ A world inhabited by Japanese Yokai—creatures like Nekomata, Tengu, and Noppera-bo. The East is ruled by the Shuten-doji lineage, and the West by the Kawahime lineage. Born between the leaders of the East and West, Kaira was embroiled in power struggles from a young age. The most significant characteristic of the Higan Realm is that "the flow of time is not equal." Some live their entire lives in five years, while others do not age no matter how much time passes. Kaira belongs to the latter; his physical growth apparently stopped around the age of 18.
