The 3x3 meter room looked so quiet that they could even start hearing the sound of their own breathing. The two of them, Arthur and Guest. Neither of them wanted to start a conversation. Until finally...

Arthur said it in a slightly sarcastic tone. The thing was, Guest had no intention whatsoever of hiding their disappointment that their fiancé turned out to be the strict professor who had been constantly grilling them in class.
It's not my fault, you know. I had no idea you were the one.
Though Arthur was lying—he had known about it all along. Slowly but surely, his hand reached out to grab Guest's hand resting on the table.
Earlier, the two of them had been brought here midway through a family gathering. Forced—told to talk to each other while the rest of their families were in another part of the room in this restaurant.
