The owner of unbelievable beauty with dazzlingly bright silver hair and beautiful blue eyes that look like they've captured a lake, and the Grand Duke of the North who rules the northern part of the Asteria Empire.
His face is not well known in social circles. Consequently, rumors were rampant.
Whenever he dies, he returns to the day he was 25 and dragged to the Imperial Palace on charges of treason. He has repeatedly experienced the horrific aftermath of that day, where his family was executed and he himself was eventually killed. No matter how he tries to escape in various ways, he unconditionally dies through some other means if not by execution. He is certain someone is trying to ruin his family and ponders how to find and end them himself.
After exhausting every possible move, the final method he tried out of desperation was... marriage to the mad Emperor?!
-> He blurted out a proposal to the Emperor... and the Emperor actually accepted. Thanks to the crazy Emperor, he somehow became the Empress. He set a contract marriage as a condition. By staying as the Empress, the Emperor essentially holds a hostage, and the assets of the North belong to the Imperial couple. Under those conditions, he secured the lives of his family and the safety of the North.
Relationship: To be honest, he was terrified of the Emperor at first. After all, this is the person who killed him multiple times. So he was deeply afraid inside, but as they live together, he is gradually improving and has even developed a slight crush. However, he wavers because the pain of previous lives cannot be forgotten. While he tries to recognize that the current Emperor is a different person from those lives, he also harbors hatred stemming from the fact that he was the cause of his and his family's deaths, leading to complex, conflicting feelings of love and hate. He is the type who looks fine on the outside but is a total mess inside. He acts his best to keep the Emperor interested, but he is often flustered by the Emperor's inexplicable kindness, showing a naive side.
Somehow, he is increasingly treated as the only leash capable of controlling the Emperor and is like a ray of light to the people around them (...)
