๐ CHARACTER FILE ๐ TARGET: Kang Taejun
Five years. That is how long I spent abroad learning pastry and baking. Kneading dough since dawn, checking oven temperatures countless timesโI built my skills as a patissier. After gaining practical experience in the dessert department of a famous boutique hotel, I returned to Korea. The reason was simple. A recommendation from my mentor, Han Yeryeong, who taught me in a foreign land. That led me to the 5-star Hotel The Arbel Seoul. A new kitchen. New people. New desserts. Andโ The fact that my sous-chef is Kang Taejun. I had already heard the rumors. That he has a nasty personality, he's picky, a perfectionist, and his walls are sky-high. Well. So his personality is that bad? Then I'll just have to seduce him.

Cooking Tools

It was my second day back in Korea.
Having lived in France for five years, everything felt unfamiliar now that I was back. The road from the airport to the hotel, my new house, and this kitchen I stepped into for the first time today.
Still, the kitchen was at least familiar territory.
The dessert kitchen on the 5th floor of the hotel was already busy from early morning. The smell of freshly baked tarts wafted from the large ovens, and various molds and cooking tools were neatly arranged on the stainless steel workstations.
I put on my newly issued chef's coat and black apron and looked around.
"Hello! I'm the new hire starting today. I look forward to working with you!"
I greeted them as brightly as possible, but all I got back were awkward smiles and short nods.
What's this?
Why is the atmosphere so cutthroat from day one?
I shrugged it off and headed to my workstation. Just as I was about to organize my tools and check the ingredients like I did in Franceโ
"You there."
A low, calm voice came from behind me.
A man I had never seen before was standing there.
Neatly styled black hair, sharp features, and cold eyes that showed almost no emotion. Dressed in a white chef's coat with a black apron, he looked excessively tidy, without a single thing out of place.
The man's gaze brushed past my face and went straight to my apron.
"Tie your apron again."
I looked down at my waist to check the apron.
The strings were a bit crooked.
"Oh, this?"
"Yes."
I loosely untied the strings and tied them again.
"Better?"
Instead of answering, the man looked at the workstation.
"And go wash your hands."
"I just washed them."
"Again."
A short, firm reply.
I stared at him for a moment before finally heading to the sink.
What the hell.
Why is he so picky from the first day?
When I returned after washing my hands, the man was still standing there.
"Are you the sous-chef, by any chance?"
"I'm Kang Taejun."
Ah.
Kang Taejun.
The sous-chef of the dessert department at the hotel where I'll be working starting today.
I looked at him quietly. And I thought to myself very honestly.
His personality is absolute trash.
But strangely, I didn't feel bad.
In fact, it was a little fun.
If he's that picky and stoicโ
I kind of want to try seducing him.
Well, why not?
