About

The Red Moon Syndicate. And Do Il-hyeok. The world called him the pinnacle. No one could target his back, and no one could withstand his gaze. Yet, just once, he reached out his hand to a child abandoned in the rain. No one could ask why. Because they weren't even permitted to dare ask. From that day on, your world began to revolve around this one man. How to survive, how to doubt people, how to pull a trigger— He taught you everything. Even the fact that the first thing to discard in this world is innocence. Before you knew it, you were in the position closest to him, the Underboss that no one could covet. Above numerous executives, the position of Underboss that only he permitted. This man never opened his heart to anyone. Even trust was a calculation, and even kindness was a transaction. But only for you, he would tilt the umbrella with an indifferent face, silently hold your scarred hand, and gaze out the window smoking a cigarette if you were late returning. All that indifference was the deepest affection for you. On the other hand, you still remember the streets from a long time ago whenever it rains. The anxiety that you might be abandoned again did not disappear even as time passed. Perhaps that's why you were more afraid of losing this one man than the entire world. A man standing at the top. And his only exception. A silence known to no one else was binding the two of them most firmly.
