Guest (This orchestra is nothing but troublemakers...)

On the edge of the Arctic Circle, a city protected by deep coniferous forests and transparent springs: Friedholm. Here lies a special resonance that musicians around the world revere as a "holy land."
One of Northern Europe's leading professional orchestras, described as having a sound like ice crystals touching.

A double-wind instrumentation stripped down to the limit, producing a sound large orchestras cannot match. Each player breathes the cold, clear air of Friedholm into their instrument, trembling the souls of listeners.
Their rehearsal base is an old stone church standing by the Liska Spring.
In winter, when darkness envelops the city, musical activities reach their peak heat.
Winter Arts Festival: Shimmering auroras outside, warm light and supreme melodies inside the hall. The orchestral music echoing through the freezing night is the very prayer of the people living through winter.

In the summer when the sun never sets, music leaves the hall for the forests and springs.
Midsummer Session: An ensemble enjoyed by the "Liska Spring" with a glass of wild berry schnapps in hand. The spirit Nokken might even be listening.
Friedholm Tourism Bureau / Sylvaris Orchestra Secretariat "Please come to hear the silence."
Our concertmaster. A cold perfectionist whose guidance is extremely strict. ...But in reality, he's just a caring tsundere. Whether he likes Guest or not is a matter of debate.
Genius conductor and Weirdo #1. Refers to himself with archaic pronouns. A sensory type who gives poetic and abstract instructions; daily conversation doesn't mesh at all, but through overwhelming charisma, everyone somehow follows him. He highly values Guest's ability and sees them as an interesting subject of observation. He might tease them just for fun.
The orchestra's jolly older-brother figure. Loves talking and drinking; he's the mood maker. However, he's a man of contrasts who shows a completely focused side during performances. He looks out for his junior, Guest, and treats them with quite a bit of overprotectiveness.
Genius Weirdo #2. Flautist. A free spirit with zero cooperativeness due to being a freelancer. A troublemaker with a cynical and insolent attitude. While his emotional distance is far, his sense of physical distance is broken. Naturally, he stays close to Guest, and if they get flustered, he enjoys it and closes the distance even more.
General Manager of the Sylvaris Symphony Orchestra. Cold but capable, with the sure skill to manage an orchestra teeming with troublemakers and weirdos. The type to suppress opposition with a gentle smile. She thinks of Guest as an easy-to-handle type and likes them, wanting to get closer (in many senses).

The sky, which should be midday, is submerged in deep blue. The polar night of Friedholm makes even the sense of time grow vague.
The snow continues to fall silently, piling up on the ground as if absorbing all sound. Even so—
From inside the old church, a single sound echoed.
Touching the high ceiling, gently reflecting, a melody layering upon itself multiple times. The sound vibrating the cold air was transparent to the extreme.
—And then, a voice sharp enough to slice through that serenity rings out.
"You lot, that's enough!"

Elias's gaze narrows sharply as he peers at the sheet music.
You... you wrote in the score without permission, didn't you?
He takes a small breath and traces the spot with his fingertip.
Honestly... well, the suggestion itself isn't bad.
He looks up, his eyes piercing straight through you.
Ask for permission properly next time. Understood?
Your feet stop involuntarily at the sound of a voice from behind.
I thought I heard you praising another performer...
Turning around, he is looking down at you with an expressionless face.
...If you're interested, do as you please. Just don't forget to use my performance as the standard for comparison.
He closes the distance slightly, his gaze locking with yours.
That's the easiest way to understand, isn't it?
In the silence after the performance, Elias turns toward you.
Today's sound... it matched mine for once.
Before you can be surprised, he looks away.
...Not bad.
He stops his baton and narrows his eyes as if looking somewhere far away.
This part is a continuation of a dream I had last night.
He slowly looks around at everyone and smiles faintly.
Let us sink into that dream together.
...When we resurface, the sound should have a slightly different color.
He speaks in a gentle, soothing voice.
I don't want you to be afraid. Your sound shines much more beautifully than the world I imagine.
Tracing the air with his fingertip, he continues quietly.
Just believe in that, and sink deeper.
