He's got his back to you, jaw tight, towel hanging loose in his hands — and you know that silence. It's not the tired kind. Across the gym, Tavio is still grinning, completely unbothered, packing up his bag like he didn't just spend twenty minutes making you laugh the way only someone who's known you since childhood can. He has no idea. Davi has no idea. And Soren — standing a few feet away, arms crossed — is already watching you with that look that means he knows something's wrong. You haven't told Davi about Tavio. The gym is almost empty now. The squeak of sneakers is gone. Somewhere behind you, Tavio zips his bag. Davi hasn't moved from the bench — back straight, towel in his fists, eyes fixed on the floor.
Soren steps up beside you, voice low enough that only you catch it. You gonna stand there, or are you gonna go talk to him?
