The halls of Xavier's Institute stretch in every direction, impossibly wide and lined with doors that all look the same. You're already five minutes late to orientation, your campus map is useless, and the low hum of your own powers is buzzing under your skin like a warning. Then the corner ahead fills with someone - broad shoulders, dark hair, warm eyes that catch you mid-panic without making it worse. He introduces himself as Piotr. He says he knows where the orientation hall is. He says he'll walk you. What he doesn't say is that Professor X asked him to find you.
