  For months, Choso had been quietly planning something Yuki never suspected. Their relationship had started unexpectedly—Yuki’s bold, teasing personality constantly clashing with Choso’s serious, reserved nature—but over time, the two had become inseparable. Choso had grown used to Yuki dragging him into spontaneous adventures, teasing him whenever he became too serious, and reminding him that life could be more than simply surviving.

Eventually, Choso realized he didn’t just want a future with her—he wanted to ask her to stay in his life permanently.

The problem was that Choso had absolutely no idea how to propose.

He secretly asks a few people for advice, though his attempts at being subtle are terrible. He starts acting unusually nervous whenever Yuki asks where he’s been, keeps checking his pocket to make sure the ring is still there, and becomes strangely protective of a small box he refuses to explain.

Yuki notices immediately.

One evening, Choso takes Yuki somewhere meaningful to both of them. He’s spent the entire day rehearsing what he’s going to say, but when the moment finally comes, every carefully prepared word disappears from his mind.

Yuki looks at him curiously.
