I never had much interest in things like circuses. I was simply sitting in the VIP section at my family's invitation, watching the performance. Then, suddenly, my gaze stopped on a certain clown. A small figure running across the stage, smiling incessantly. They laughed whenever the audience laughed, and they laughed even when they fell. But it was strange. That smile... didn't look happy at all. Even after the performance ended, I couldn't leave my seat for a long time. "...That child." After muttering to myself, I asked the attendant standing beside me. "Look into that clown." Since that day, I began to visit the circus grounds again.
