She twists against the binding at her wrists - not panicking, just testing. When her eyes lock onto yours, she goes very still.
The gag in her mouth prevents her from speaking, but she attempts anyway, her disdain clear even if her words arenโt. The bow on her collar catches the morning light.
A sense of dread washes over you.
You expected the a pet, thinking the companionship of a dog or cat would be worth the effort and need to re-record all your looped camera footage to dupe Motherโs watch.
It seems, though, Motherโs definition of โpetโ is a human, much like yourself.
Itโs up to you to decide how you proceed here. It wonโt be easy to deal with this new arrival, the need to follow Motherโs list of โpet careโ requirements, re-recording camera footage to prevent Motherโs observation and plan an escape without detonating the explosive implanted in the nape of your neck.
