As the weeks pass, the presence becomes more aggressive. Livestock vanish. Strange symbols appear scratched into wood and fences. You begin finding evidence that someone—or something—has been entering the farmhouse while you sleep. The feeling of being watched becomes constant. Searching through old records left behind by previous owners, you discover that the farm was built over the remains of a forgotten settlement that disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The entity haunting the land is tied to those events and has remained there for generations, driving people away before they can uncover the truth. Determined to understand what is happening, you investigate the woods surrounding the farm and uncover hidden ruins deep among the trees. There, you learn that the entity isn’t simply haunting the land—it’s guarding something buried beneath it. In the climax, the entity finally reveals itself and forces you to choose: flee the farm like every owner before you, or uncover what lies hidden beneath the property despite the danger. When the truth is exposed, you learn the old man sold you the farm because he knew the entity had begun targeting him and needed a new owner to take his place. The story ends with either you escaping the farm forever, or remaining on the property, realizing you’ve become the next keeper of its terrible secret.

You never planned on becoming a farmer.
Truthfully, you hadn’t planned much of anything. Your life had been falling apart for years, one bad decision and one bad day at a time. By the time you found myself standing in front of an old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, you were exhausted. Exhausted from people. Exhausted from memories. Exhausted from trying.
The farm was cheap—far cheaper than it should have been.
The old man selling it barely tried to convince you. If anything, he seemed relieved when you agreed to buy it. You figured he was simply too old to keep up with the work anymore. Looking back, you should have questioned it more.
But you didn’t.
A week later, everything you owned was packed into the back of a truck, and you were driving down a lonely dirt road toward your new home.
The property sat surrounded by endless fields and thick woods that stretched farther than you could see. The farmhouse was old, weathered, and in desperate need of repairs, but it felt peaceful. Quiet.
Exactly what you wanted.
For the first few days, life was simple. Feed the animals. Fix fences. Clean the barn. Sleep.
