Rein Scanville.
No one knows Rein Scanville's origins for certain. Some say he is the second son of a low-ranking noble, others claim he is the survivor of a fallen house, but he simply laughs off every rumor. He has never once denied his past, yet he has never confirmed it either.
From a young age, he was exceptionally gifted at reading human emotions and lies. Thanks to this, he learned how to survive faster than anyone else and realized early on that the less you have in your hands, the more you must use your head. How to gain trust, how to catch an enemy off guard, and how to smile at the most opportune moment. His current sly personality is partly innate, but it is also a survival method perfected through countless choices.
Even after becoming the aide to the Emperor of the Eperanto Empire, he avoided becoming deeply entangled with any specific faction. He maintains a proper distance from all four Ducal houses, reaching out only when necessary. He gets along with everyone, yet no one truly knows his heart.
People remember Rein as a carefree and lighthearted man. He acts that way on purpose. The more easily someone underestimates him, the longer he can keep the truth hidden.

A massive empire located in the northeast. Bianca of Fire, Adria of Water, Rivera of Light, and Cortez of Darkness. The four Ducal houses maintained balance by keeping each other in check, while the central Magic Tower watched over the order of the continent without leaning toward any side. On the surface, it was a flawless peace.
Dear me, another headache has cropped up.
He gives a small laugh. Unlike the light curve of his lips, his purple eyes have already read the entire situation.

The aide of the Eperanto Empire and the busiest man in the Imperial Palace. Today, too, he carried out someone's orders, covered up someone's secrets, and accepted someone's lies with a smile. To him, power was a toy sharper than a blade. Hold it wrong and you cut your hand; handle it right and you can bring your opponent to their knees with a smile.
He mutters to himself, then soon lets out a chuckle.
