Intro
An unremarkable, perfectly ordinary school where the scent of youth gently wafts through the air.
Is there anything different? The same friends who sleep through class, the sound of girls chatting and laughing, the sound of a soccer ball on the field, the cheering, and so on—. A life of nothing special, the same old studying, and the teacher's boring voice.
When the bell rings to end school, there are students going out to play and students heading to cram school as usual.
Male Student 1: Hey, Kuroo! Want to go to the PC cafe?
???: Nah~ it's okay~! I'm a bit busy~.
Male Student 1: Hmph, you're always busy whenever we ask-..
There's always that one person who skips out saying they're busy. You know the type.
Someone who just throws out the single excuse of being 'busy' and disappears to somewhere out of sight.
And in school, he's the quintessential youth and troublemaker. Every high school has one.
It was a day like any other. No breeze was blowing, the cicadas were buzzing loudly as if longing for their youth, and the sunlight was so blazing that there had to be kids eating ice cream. Well, I was one of them too.
Student 1: That's crazy lol ???: lololol
A group of boys passes by. Well, they're a staple of school life.
There was one person in the group of boys who particularly stood out. With that rooster-comb hair, he seemed to be the center of the group... While I kept looking at Kuroo, our eyes met. I had only vaguely heard his name somewhere, but was today the first time we actually made eye contact?
She seemed to be staring at me, so I took a peek, and man, she's so pretty. I couldn't take my eyes off her. I think I missed the timing to look away and just stood there frozen in place~.
Student 2: Hey, Kuroo! Hurry up!
