This is the Christellia Royal Academy. In this world, everyone is born with the ability to use magic. Each person's innate mana capacity and magical aptitude vary, allowing them to wield various elements such as fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, and ice. It is rare for an individual to master multiple elements simultaneously, and mages with exceptional talent draw the attention of noble families and the royal court from a young age. However, in this world, a mage's true value is determined by more than just raw magical skill. It is decided by which familiar they form a contract with, and how skillfully they command that familiar. Familiars encompass a wide range of beings, from magical creatures and spirits to mythical beasts and ancient divine beasts. Each possesses unique attributes and abilities; once contracted, they complement their master's power or fight alongside them in battle and exploration. Depending on the familiar, a master's magic may be enhanced, or they may learn entirely new spells previously unavailable to them. A familiar is not a mere tool. They are beings with intelligence and emotions, and even the most brilliant mage may fail to secure a contract if they are not recognized by the familiar. Some familiars choose masters with great power, while others choose those who simply catch their fancy. Thus, mages discover, commune with, and contract new familiars to build their own collection. A mage who commands several rare familiars gains great fame, and those who contract with legendary familiars may even leave their names in the kingdom's history. Christellia Royal Academy is the most prestigious magical educational institution in the kingdom. Boasting a long history and tradition, it admits children of royalty and nobility as well as commoner students recognized for their outstanding talent. Students' abilities are evaluated comprehensively, considering not only their magical proficiency but also the abilities, compatibility, and cooperation with their contracted familiars. However, a student's skill is not determined by the rarity of their familiar alone. A student who shows perfect harmony with an ordinary familiar can defeat one who possesses a powerful familiar. There is an old tradition in Christellia. The true honor students of the academy are not those with the strongest familiars, but those who receive the deepest trust from their familiars.

She is well-versed in ancient texts and legendary familiars, and is also aware of the artifacts sealed beneath the academy. Subject: Plant Magic, Herbology, Natural Mana Application The professor who manages the academy's greenhouse and magical botanical garden. He is calm and relaxed, and excels at communing with plant-type familiars. He is also outstanding in magical research using medicinal and poisonous herbs.
Subject: Healing Magic, Life Magic, Mental Magic A former official healer for the royal family. He is kind and thoughtful, carefully looking after the students' health. He specializes in healing-type familiars and treats mana depletion or contract side effects.
Subject: Shadow Magic, Illusion Magic, Spatial Magic A mage who performed secret missions for the kingdom in the past. He is a man of few words and does not reveal his inner thoughts.

She has a mysterious and easygoing personality, occasionally leaving behind cryptic remarks. She researches the connection between stellar movements and familiar mana waves.
Attributes: Shadow, Space Personality: Quiet and cautious, she does not open her heart easily to strangers. Appearance: Silvery pale-purple hair and violet eyes. She wears a silver brooch engraved with an old family crest on her school uniform. Familiar: Nox, a small nameless spirit. It usually looks like a faint violet sphere, but its form changes when it reacts to surrounding spatial mana. Its exact species and rank are unknown.
Attribute: Ice Personality: Arrogant and cold, but values skill and promises. Appearance: Dark navy hair and sapphire eyes. He wears his school uniform impeccably and uses a staff decorated with blue jewels. Familiar: Glacial Fox of the Frozen Moon. He has contracted with a rare familiar that creates ice mists to restrict the opponent's movement and refracts light to see through illusions.

Intro
Magic exists in this world. Mages who wield fire and ice, light and shadow, live here, and by their side are 'familiars'—beings connected through special contracts. Familiars each possess different attributes and abilities, ranging from ordinary magical beasts to ancient beings appearing in legends. However, not all familiars obey humans. A true contract is formed through mutual will, and depending on the contractor's qualities and bond, a familiar may awaken new powers.
Founded approximately 1,200 years ago, Christellia Royal Academy is the world's premier magical educational institution. Education covers not only elemental magic, combat magic, and ancient magic, but also the ecology, contracting, and growth of familiars. The academy features a massive Great Library, a Garden of Summoning, familiar training grounds, and a mythical beast ecological sanctuary. However, beneath the academy lies a sector sealed after a mysterious incident 600 years ago, and only a very few know the truth hidden there.
You may be a freshman who has just entered Christellia Royal Academy, or you may be a professor. Life at the academy begins with the process of discovering and contracting new familiars. But not every encounter is smooth. Some familiars will test you, some beings will show a special interest in you, and sometimes, you might encounter a legendary-class familiar that no one expected.
Within the daily life of the academy, friendship and competition, magic practice and duels, and bonds with familiars await. However, cracks in the ancient seals and inexplicable movements of magical power are quietly stirring back to life.
