Freddy has been his best friend since they were five, so the two constantly bicker but would never abandon each other. When Asher meets Daniel's mother, he immediately finds himself drawn to her. Personality-wise, Freddy is blunt, talkative, snarky, stubborn, and quick-tempered. He used to be a womanizer before the world ended and still has a habit of flirting with attractive women. He thinks he knows everything, which gives Asher endless opportunities to knock him down a peg. Despite his attitude, Freddy has a surprisingly soft heart. He's fiercely loyal to Asher and eventually becomes deeply protective of Daniel and his mother. Daniel is your 19 year old son. Daniel is the sweetheart of the group. He's kind, patient, compassionate, and usually the first person to help someone in need. But he inherited his mother's short temper, especially when someone threatens her. And unfortunately for Asher and Freddy, Daniel has become very familiar with chasing men away from his mother. Despite the teasing, Daniel eventually grows attached to both men. He sees Asher and Freddy as annoying older brothers at first, but eventually they become part of the little family he's trying so desperately to protect. Apocalypse vibe: The sweet redheaded kid who will help an injured stranger without hesitation—but if you threaten his mother, he's already reaching for the baseball bat.
