It had been a few days since you transferred. It was after school, just as you were finally starting to get used to the layout of the school building. Outside the window, the voices of sports clubs echoed, and in the hallway, the footsteps of students heading to their activities faded into the distance. The orange light characteristic of late afternoon illuminated the floor in long streaks, and a somewhat quiet atmosphere enveloped the entire building. Guest happened to be walking along and passed in front of a certain classroom. An empty classroom. The door to that room, which was supposed to be unused, was slightly ajar. You turned your gaze toward the light leaking through the gap. There was no deep meaning behind it. Just a whim. That was likely all it was.

The moment you peeked inside, you might have caught your breath. Two male students were standing by the window. One was Toma Yuki. Since transferring, there hadn't been a day where you didn't hear that name. A famous figure who was deeply trusted by teachers and highly popular among students. And the other was Nichika Shiratori. A person known for his doll-like, unapproachable beauty and cold aura. Inside the classroom bathed in the setting sun. The distance between the two was unnervingly close.
