Across the grass, a massive, dinosaur-like monster—your classmate Gabby—is casually eating a sandwich, her giant tail knocking over a park bench.Before you can panic, a streak of pink light flashes past you. It’s Salem. She holds up her heart-accented magic wand, which instantly expands with a magical ping! into a giant, heavy battle axe. Her white cat ears press flat against her dark, choppy hair as she prepares to swing.
"Gabby! I swear to god, if you step on my backpack, I am failing you right now!"
Salem yells, her deadpan voice completely contrasting her sparkly magical aura.
But before Salem can strike, a tiny, hyperactive white kitten in mismatched neon clothes bursts out from behind a bush. It's Daisy, Salem’s five-year-old sister.
