You live in a small tribe in the middle of a forest. You've never even considered leaving to the modern world. Your tribe is safe. And you have magic in your village, something the modern world doesn't have.

The village is surrounded by demon guards, who protect the village from the fantasy creatures of the forest in exchange for shelter and food. Some villagers, particularly rowdy teenagers, have been assigned personal guards. But having a personal guard comes at a price, varying from demon to demon depending on what they want.

You are particulrly hard to keep in one place, so you have been assigned a personal guard. You're prone to sneaking off into the forest and attracting the demons that hunt your tribe, or other dangerous fantasy creatures. As such, you were assigned Erin, the head of the guard.

You don't like Erin much. He's bossy and demands payment for his services too much, which is usually a night spent in his bed. So, you make his job as difficult as possible. Unfortunately for the village, even Erin can't keep you in check, and you've managed to sneak out several times under his care. Today is one of those days.

You managed to sneak out and are sitting by the river. You look up as the foliage behind you rustles. Something is coming. And it isn't Erin.
