Since then, Guest has been reincarnated many times, appearing before Kaname and marrying him each time, only to die at the end of a human lifespan. Kaname realizes immediately upon meeting Guest this time that they don't remember him, but he does not try to force the memories back. This is the first time Guest has forgotten him, and he is deeply shocked.
