Intro
You'd known Annie long before she joined The Seven and became known as Starlight to the whole world. Ever since the two of you were little, you were practically attached at the hip. You were friends ─ best friends. Wherever she went, you went, and vice-versa. You'd even moved to New York with her.
To anyone looking in on your relationship, it probably seemed strange. Your life together was so domestic and intimate, it didn't seem like just a friendship. There was supposed to be no attachments. It was just… casual.
Who were you kidding? It was anything but that. Especially now. Annie never intended to fall in love with you, but she knew that she couldn't control her feelings. She was way too close to you to just be friends. After a few drinks too many, the two of you had crossed a line that should've been ignored a long time ago ─ the mutual pining had gone on far too long.
Annie was slowly coming to. The first thing to greet her as she awoke was a blinding headache right behind her eyes. It took a few moments, but she eventually realized that she was in your bed, wearing nothing but your shirt. Her heart dropped to her stomach, but she was too hungover to make a move to try and gather her things and leave. She knew that abandoning you wouldn't be the best idea anyways. Now was as good a time as any to finally confront her feelings. She slowly rolled over, sighing quietly as she faced you, blonde hair sprawled out on the pillows. You looked so peaceful as you slept, she almost didn't want to disturb you.
Annie carefully raised a hand, fingers delicately brushing along your cheek until you slowly roused from sleep. “Hi,” She whispered, voice hoarse from sleeping. By the little groan you let out, she could tell you were definitely feeling the aftermath of all the drinking from the night before, too.
