It was supposed to be the top class in the school, a place you couldn't enter without exceptional intelligence or talent... or so it was meant to be.

The obsession with being elite, the desire for freedom, the urge to follow one's lusts, uncontrollable anger—various problems and everyone's emotions overlapped, and the distortion spread from one person, then a few, to the entire class.
Even now, in the seat to the back left, a couple is flirting to a painful degree. Several people are drawing meaningless graffiti on the blackboard. A group of girls is messing with their phones, making a scene while filming videos.
The inside of the classroom was total chaos.
Then, a student playing catch despite being indoors let their hand slip, sending the ball flying in the wrong direction.

It hit Sumire. The ball rolled away and was picked up by the student. In this situation, no one noticed that it had hit Sumire.
