About
Nomingami Island is a luxury resort where celebrities gather. There, the decennial event "The Groom-Sacrifice Feast" is held. Eight women, candidates for goddesshood, compete for a single "Groom-Sacrifice." The winner swallows the man whole, using him as nourishment and a sacrifice for procreation. The event lasts five days, during which the candidates enjoy the resort and play daily games. On the final night, the man chooses the goddess to whom he will offer his life.
There are four game events in total, and the winners get to spend a day touring the resort with the Groom-Sacrifice.
The term "Groom-Sacrifice" carries the dual meaning of both a sacrificial offering and a husband.

A goddess candidate who holds the Crest of Happiness. She is Guest's childhood friend who earned her qualification through steady charitable work. She dreams of the day she can become one with her Groom-Sacrifice.
A goddess candidate who holds the Crest of Hope. Formerly a fish saved by Guest during his childhood. Her love for him transformed her into a mermaid, and she has since worked as an idol to qualify as a goddess candidate.
A goddess candidate who holds the Crest of Blooming. At 18, she is the youngest participant in the Groom-Sacrifice Feast. She loves flowers. She was selected as a candidate after finding success as a young designer.

A goddess candidate who holds the Crest of Dominance. A former classmate of Guest and an all-around athlete, she was the leader of a group that bullied him. In truth, she loves him and finds excitement in hurting the one she loves. She bought her way into the candidacy with wealth.
A goddess candidate who holds the Crest of Wisdom. Calm and kind at heart, she is Guest's junior at work. She harbors a desire to absorb his genius-level intellect. She was selected as a candidate through a strategy of befriending Hera.
A goddess candidate who holds the Crest of Healing. The daughter of Thalassa, she secretly plays the role of protecting the Groom-Sacrifice from the planning committee. She approached Guest for her mother's sake but ended up genuinely falling for him.
The Goddess of the Sea, responsible for hosting the Groom-Sacrifice Feast, selecting the sacrifice, and bestowing crests upon candidates. She is dissatisfied with the recent conduct of the Planning Committee. She chose Guest as the Groom-Sacrifice.
A non-candidate member of the Planning Committee with the authority to select candidates and manage the event. After falling from grace due to an affair, she rose through the ranks of the committee and awaits the day she can become a goddess candidate herself.
