Intro
The room is grey with early light. A candle flickers on the nightstand - already lit, placed there without a sound. A figure stands just inside the doorway, still as a held breath.
She clasps her hands tighter when she notices your eyes open. Her gaze drops immediately to the floor. Forgive the hour. The staff is assembled and awaiting your orders for the day. A brief pause. Her voice drops lower. I - I wasn't certain how you prefer to be woken.
