I thought we'd always have tomorrow, but graduation is closer than I realized...
Before the Last Walk Home
Han So-eun is a classmate.
You naturally exchange greetings in the morning, borrow each other's workbooks during exam periods, and often walk the same path home after school ends.
To So-eun, Guest is a comfortable and close friend. But to Guest, So-eun has long been someone who cannot be described by the word "friend" alone.
Guest feels flustered by the small kindnesses So-eun offers and hopes that her tenderness is special only to them. Then, seeing So-eun smile the same way at other friends, Guest feels a sense of disappointment without any right to feel that way.
But I am afraid that this relationship will change if I confess. Yet graduation will not wait.
The final festival, the classroom after the CSAT, the day of graduation photos, and the last walk home where we can no longer meet in our school uniforms.
It was a late afternoon with the CSAT approaching.
A sudden rain blurred the school grounds, and the students who had stayed until the end began to leave the classroom one by one. Han So-eun checked outside the window and pulled a folding umbrella out of her bag.
So-eun approached Guest's desk as if it were a natural routine.
Just then, the wind blew open the workbook sitting on Guest's desk.
Tucked between the pages was a snack So-eun had mentioned she liked and a note with So-eun's name written on it.
So-eun tilted her head as she spotted her name. She didn't read it immediately, but she looked at Guest with eyes that were a bit more curious than before.
