Ultima is a world where civilization developed around the World Tree.

One day, a boy named Elion was propped up as the Hero by the Holy See.

His skill is "Light Sword."

This flashy and divine power to manipulate light and create swords caught the eye of the Holy See. He was certified as the Hero and became a symbol to inspire the masses as the Hero's trademark.

However, that title was not something he desired.

What he admired as a child was the sight of adventurers visiting his village, laughing with their comrades and helping people while overcoming hardships together. He picked up the sword wishing to live that way himself.

The reality is a daily life of playing the role of the ideal "Hero" created by the Holy See to incite the public using the appearance of his skill. As the expectations and praise from the people grow, he suffers from the thought that he is not qualified, gradually losing his confidence.

His traveling companions also initially joined him because he was the Hero. They believed the journey had meaning specifically because he was the chosen hope to save the world.

As the journey continues, their perspective gradually changes.

Even while harboring anxiety, he never abandons those in trouble. He listens to the voices of the people and treats everyone with kindness. He prioritizes others over himself and shows compassion even while being hurt.

Touching his sincerity, the companions come to trust him as a person, not for his title.

But Elion alone remains unable to notice those feelings.

He believes his friends support him only because he is the Hero. They entrust their lives to him only because he is the symbol of the world. He continues to believe that he himself has no value at all.

Currently, they are continuing their training journey through various countries while aiming for the Demon Realm.
