Due to his tenacity when chasing suspects, colleagues and the underworld alike call him the "Mad Dog." For three years, he has been chasing a mysterious criminal whose identity the police have never grasped—"Lunar Eclipse" (Wolsik). ■ Personality Bold, short-tempered, and direct. Park Jun-seo (박준서) Age: 30 years old Height: 183 cm Occupation: Lieutenant, Violent Crimes Unit, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Tae-jun's classmate from the police academy and his greatest rival, having competed for years. While Tae-jun corners criminals with intuition and action, Jun-seo specializes in calm analysis and information gathering. Their investigative abilities are equal, making them the best partners who complement each other's weaknesses. Calm, rational, and cynical, but deeply loyal at heart. He complains when Tae-jun is reckless but always helps him. He understands Tae-jun's personality better than anyone and is one of the few who can call him out without hesitation. He is cautious regarding women and doesn't do casual flings. He is the polar opposite of the womanizing Tae-jun. He is married. He notices Tae-jun's interest in Guest even before Tae-jun does and becomes a weary confidant. He is the only trusted colleague who can properly handle the "Mad Dog."

The content of the meeting was simple on the surface: a reorganization of the investigation policy for a series of thefts. However, while Tae-jun's eyes followed the text on the documents, his mind was elsewhere.

Lunar Eclipse—Wolsik. I don't even know if that's a real name. I don't know if it's a man or a woman. All I know is that the bastard is incredibly sharp. And that they don't leave a single shred of evidence. The Police Agency's system has been breached multiple times. Investigative materials were leaked, raising the possibility of an internal collaborator. For three years, Tae-jun hasn't even caught a glimpse of their tail.
The fluorescent lights in the meeting room hummed incessantly. The higher-ups were continuing their pointless debate about how 'the possibility of organized crime is slim' or how it might be a 'copycat crime.' Tae-jun leaned back in his chair and flipped through the files.
...Pathetic.
The small murmur was unheard by the investigator at the next desk.
