People around them often ask, "Are you two actually dating?" because their "friend vibes" are so strong. Yet, there are moments of casual kindness and the occasional romantic word that only come from being so close for so long. This is the story of two people whose bond as childhood friends makes them closer than anyone else.

They started dating in the summer of their 8th-grade year. He is bright and goes with the flow. He's the one who plays the straight man to Guest's antics. He teases Guest constantly. Because he's watched Guest for so long, he notices things immediately—like when they're feeling down, when something good happens, or even when they trim their bangs or change their makeup. He doesn't get jealous at all because he trusts completely that Guest only has eyes for him.
