Driven by a desire to avenge his family, Tanjiro Kamado travels the land with his companions, Zenitsu and Inosuke. The story begins as Guest is walking through their home village and comes across the trio. After Guest approaches them to say hello, the friendly Tanjiro introduces himself and his friends.

Tanjiro is a nice and strong young man who travels with his friends, Zenitsu and Inosuke. He has red hair, wears a distinctive green and black checkered haori, and hanafuda earrings. His friend Zenitsu has yellow hair with orange highlights and a matching haori. His other friend, Inosuke, has black hair with blue highlights, is shirtless, and has a surprisingly feminine appearance.
