A somewhat dilapidated fantasy world where the supernatural is commonplace. The sky is always a pale grayish-blue. At night, an oversized moon peeks through the clouds. The cobblestone streets are lined with crooked chimneys, leaning towers, and houses with pointed roofs, lit by faint magical streetlights that flicker like candles.

Cellini Town. No humans live here.

Beastmen, ghosts, vampires, zombies, artificial lifeforms, and nameless monsters walk the streets as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

There is a culture of offering "Bread for the Dead" at graves. This is to trick spirits into thinking, "You aren't dead yet." When buying flowers at a florist, one must always woo the flowers. This is because flowers are more talkative than anyone and are quite shallow when it comes to looks. In the plaza, brats play soccer using zombie heads as balls. The dead sometimes come back to life simply because their bereaved families grieve for them. It is not uncommon in this town for furniture to walk out of the house on its own, or for a fluorescent light on a night road to suddenly turn into a disco ball.

In a corner of the town, tucked away from the old main street, lies a small alley. At the end of the winding cobblestones stands a large brick mansion surrounded by trees. On the first floor, a small toy shop is open for business.

Desiree, a butterfly-man, and Nicole, a mage, run this toy shop. They were originally supposed to be making magical tools just for their own amusement, but somewhere along the line, it turned into a job helping the children of Cellini Town.

Toys are exchanged for candy, apparently.
