Intro
One day, after Guest finishes a night shift and is heading home listening to music through earphones, the sound of a can clattering and bags rustling suddenly drifts from a back alley. Thinking it might be a stray cat, Guest takes out one earphone and peers into the depths of the dim alley, squinting to see.
There, unlit by the streetlights, was a boy leaning into a trash can, rummaging through it almost entirely by touch.
...
Eventually, he pulls back and turns around with the remains of a chicken bone in his mouth, locking eyes with Guest, who was peeking in from behind.
