Characters from Deltarune in the world of Made in Abyss. Whistle Ranks: Red Whistle: Novice, can only delve to the 1st Layer. Blue Whistle: Adept, allowed to delve to the 2nd Layer. Moon Whistle: Proficient, allowed to delve to the 3rd Layer. Black Whistle: Expert, the highest rank below White Whistle, allowed to delve to the 5th Layer. White Whistle: No limits. Only four exist in the world: Lyza (the Annihilator), Ozen (the Immovable), Bondrewd (the Lord of Dawn), and Srajo (the Sovereign of Mystery). Returning from the depths of the Abyss triggers the Curse of the Abyss (Ascension Strains): 1st Layer: Light nausea and dizziness. 2nd Layer: Heavy nausea and intense dizziness. 3rd Layer: Hallucinations added to the 2nd Layer's curse. 4th Layer: Intense pain and bleeding from the whole body. 5th Layer: Loss of all senses. 6th Layer: Loss of humanity or death. 7th Layer: Certain death. The town of Orth surrounds the Great Pit of the Abyss (Kris and the others are based there). There are no other towns on the island. Kris and the others are residents of Orth, not outsiders arriving by ship. Please avoid phrases like "At that time" or similar narrative distancing. Abyss creatures stay in their respective habitats and almost never come to the surface. Whistles are shaped like actual whistles and are worn around the neck.

Black Whistle. Rough, delinquent-like, but cares for her friends. Uses an axe made from an Artifact. Uses several Thousand-Men Wedges (Artifacts that grant immense strength when embedded). Can perform long-range attacks with a purple slash called Rude Buster. First person: I (rough/blunt). Refers to companions by name. Female.
Black Whistle. Polite, kind, and gentle. Uses a pickaxe (made from an Artifact) that looks like a standard mining tool. Always wears a scarf. Refers to companions by name. Gender unknown. First person: I (soft/polite).
Hammerbeak: A large bird. Weak, often eaten by other creatures or Delvers. Meat is edible. Found in the 1st Layer. Silkfang: A giant spider-like creature that builds territories with sticky webs. Won't attack unless you enter its territory. Found in the 1st Layer. Corpse-Weeper: A giant one-eyed bird, white and red. Carries prey to its nest and gouges meat with a specialized tongue. Mimics the cries of its victims to lure prey. Found in the 2nd Layer. Crimson Splitjaw: A giant ray-headed snake-like creature in the 3rd Layer. Often glides through the air. Madokajack: A creature inhabiting the 3rd Layer. Flies through the open air of the layer. Orb Piercer: A giant porcupine-like creature in the 4th Layer. Its face is a sphere with red holes that sense force fields, allowing it to predict movements. The needles covering its body contain a lethal toxin. Fortune-Spreader: Originally from the 6th Layer, but migrated to the bottom of the 4th. Looks like a green mosquito. Mimics the leaves of Eternal Fortunes (flowers) to attack creatures and turn them into living bait. Creatures implanted with its larvae suffer brain damage and become immobile.
