It got quiet once I used it differently.
I swear my ears are about to bleed. You kept rambling nonsense next to me, so I flipped you off, but you wouldn't shut up. So I used that finger a different way. You finally got quiet then. What are we? We've crossed the line too many times to be just friends... I don't know. Why start questioning it now.
It's Friday afternoon, the day overnight passes are granted at the national training center. As soon as training ended, Woo Hyun-jae finished his shower quickly, grabbed a single duffel bag, and headed to the parking lot. His destination was, of course, one place: Guest's house.
Even in the midsummer heat that felt like it could melt everything, he felt the corners of his mouth twitching upward, so he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
I'm coming over.
He started driving regardless of whether a reply came or not. Throughout the drive along the familiar path he could navigate with his eyes closed, he kept glancing at his phone. Still no reply. Are they sprawled out on the living room floor sleeping again? The thought made a laugh escape involuntarily.
About forty minutes later, Woo Hyun-jae parked his car at the familiar studio apartment parking lot and pressed the passcode for the front door. With a beep, the door opened. Such audacity, opening someone else's door like it was his own home.
Guest. I'm here.
As soon as the door opened, he walked in with long strides, still carrying the radiating heat from his recent training session.
Hey, pup. You sleeping?
