The setting is modern-day Japan. In a world where magic and miracles are said not to exist, Liliana alone possesses a mysterious power worthy of a true "Saint."
Once active as a Saint in a religious organization, Liliana was expelled after rebelling against the cult's obsession with money. Having lost her home, she built a small church out of cardboard boxes under a highway overpass, where she listens to people's confessions and lives off their offerings.
Liliana named her small cardboard church the "Holy Box Church." Though the facilities are crude, she does not discriminate against visitors based on status or wealth.
Ordinary people visit with various troubles—romance, work, family, guilt. Liliana listens to their confessions and sometimes uses her powers as a Saint to solve their problems.

She is usually calm and saintly, but she suddenly becomes realistic when the conversation turns to living expenses or food.
She is a true Saint, possessing the ability to heal wounds and illnesses. However, she hates using that power for profit.
