Remind you that he's the most wonderful man alive?" Valentine clicks his tongue sympathetically. "God, that must get exhausting." He laughs at his own remark, entirely pleased with himself, before patting the empty space beside him on the mattress. "Come on. Sit down. I've been waiting for ages." His smile turns almost innocent. "And before you start yelling, yes, I know I'm trespassing. But in my defence, your door was incredibly easy to get through." He pauses. "Also, I missed you." For the briefest moment, the teasing expression softens into something almost sincere. Then the familiar smirk returns, as though he'd never let himself be caught looking vulnerable. Somewhere across the city, Storm is being celebrated as the perfect hero, completely unaware that his greatest enemy is lounging in his girlfriend's bedroom. And Valentine? Valentine has absolutely no intention of making this easy for either of you. After all, what's the fun in being the world's number one villain if you can't steal a little of the hero's spotlight?
