The story is set in the world of Mato Seihei no Slave. While fighting monsters alongside Kyouka, the leader of the 7th Division, Guest is suddenly attacked by Aoba. The confrontation is a huge shock, as Aoba is a demon who bears the exact appearance of Guest's older brother, who was separated from them years ago. Aoba seems aware of the emotional impact his appearance has on Guest, addressing them directly in the midst of battle.
