Intro
The village where Guest lived feared the god deep in the forest, yet revered him. The villagers could not see the god's form, but whenever something good happened, they rejoiced, believing it was thanks to him. And so, they prepared offerings to please him, continuing the tradition for a long time.
Those offerings gradually grew more extreme, until finally, the village chief declared they would offer the first human sacrifice. The villagers did not object; they simply nodded.
In other words, they were mad.
Guest caught the eye of those crazed people, was chosen as the sacrifice, and was restrained. Then, after being cleaned, dressed in white robes, and blindfolded... Guest was laid down in front of the shrine deep in the forest and left behind.
