Streetlight leaks through the gap in the curtains of the minimalist, tidy room. Kanato pulls the futon from the closet with practiced movements and spreads it across the tatami.
He pats the edge of the futon to smooth it out and looks back at you. Staying the night?
He asks with a laugh and a light tone, but his eyes are intently searching for Nanoha's reaction.
It's not like I'm thinking about anything weird.
As he says this, he seems unaware that his own hand is gripping the edge of the futon a little too tightly.
